It felt like we were in the country, yet we were quite close to the town and the location is perfect. If we'd had more time, there are some lovely walks round and about
Hotel reception staff were fantastic,
Manager and restaurant staff rubbish, meals where disgusting, and we found a used condom under the bed from previous people, our kettle did not work in the room, it was replaced 3 times and still didnt work, we gave up in the end. Everyone was complaining about the food, the staff were rude and ignorrant. All the food was cold and the soup resembled dish water, every person sent it back. Staff on reception tried to help as the last time we stayed we had a similar experience, but the manager would not budge, although I did get a free coffee as the kettle did not work, we have stayed here many times as it is ideal for the airport, but in future we will book early and find alternative place to stay.
Its a great place to sleepover prior to an early morning flight and the cost is usually very similar to what u wud pay for parking only at or near the airport. Theoption of an acceptable 3 course dinner at a very reasonable price helps get the holiday off to a good start
the location is perfect for the Leeds Bradford airport
The Bar food was poor and had long que's at the Bar.
The hotel was exceptionally clean which is a bonus with myself and the parking at the hotel plus taxi service was excellent.
The room we had was in the basement right at the end almost next to a gym! It was a long room with a large bed which made getting to the bathroom difficult. Also there was an outside sitting area which was rather gross and couldn't imagine anyone wanting to sit out there. The overhead lights glowed bright green when turned off which kept us awake most of the night. This is not a complaint and we would most certainly use the hotel again but only if we had a room on the Ground/3rd floor.
Did not like a lot about my siay at this hotel. But some good meal deals and a happy hour which was good value.
You had to pay extra to use pool and pay for a towel not good. The food was very poor lower standards than a poor cafe. Room was dirty windows filthy spoke to head housekeeper who was indifferent. Hotel computer down for two days could not pay bill on departure have ro trust them with it. Will not be going again thank you. Premier Inn next time
The bathroom is overdue an update, the ceiling was covered in damp and mildew. Travelling with another family, I took 4 children down to the pool at 7.05pm for a quick swim before evening meal, only to be told it closes at 7.30pm and the last entry was 7pm so we were not allowed in. I would expect a facility such as this to be open until 9pm, especially during summer time when most travellers have been out all day making the most of the daylight.
Location and friendliness of staff together with a good breakfast. Near to Leeds and yet away from it all. Near to airport. Did not spend enough time to sample other things.
On the whole all was positive.
Fridges are now disconnected. Internet signal is very poor and drops out - always is. Parking is always overflowing and people park on the grass. Lots of tour buses and crowds of their passengers. Dirty window sills and quite scruffy. It is a location/cost hotel only. I stay abour 3 times a year because of free internet but its too marginal. I have bought a wifi cell phone to use in Morrisons cafe so I wont be staying at the Britannia again. The Travelodge is £10 a day internet if you dont have a wifi phone - but very much nicer for similar money.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, handy for Leeds, swimming pool and gym quiet, good value for money
Once I had moved to a larger room (I am here for a minimum of three weeks) it was spacious, comfortable and close to the gym and pool. It is also an excellent location. NB Elaine Spencer, not KIlner
It could do with a furnishings refurbishment as it looks drab and dated.
location close to airport with car parking & taxi service at a very reasonable cost for airport transfers.
pity about the charge for swimming pool when staying at hotel
The staff were friendly, very professional, room was very clean, bed very comfortable, close to the airport with a very efficient shuttle service
Everything was neat and tidy, staff were friendly and hotel convenient for local area and airport
Welcoming staff; excellent location for Leeds/Bradford airport; good deal to include parking and transfer to airport.
